Astralis is an engineering consultancy delivering high-quality CAD modelling, technical drawings, design support, and engineering solutions. We help turn ideas into practical, manufacturable designs through precision, innovation, and attention to detail.
While supporting clients across a range of engineering projects, we continue to invest in research, open-source development, and emerging technologies that will shape the future of engineering not only for industry but for education as well. Astralis is led by four founders with backgrounds in aerospace engineering, engineering design, and business operations. Together, we combine technical expertise with a practical approach to solving complex engineering challenges.
Martin Thorn
Co-Founder & Chief Engineering Director
- Core Focus: Advanced CAD Optimization, Structural Simulation, & Compliance Engineering
- The Expertise: Holds an MEng in Aerospace Engineering (specialising in Astronautics & Space Technology), with deep expertise in design engineering and multi-physics verification.
- The Impact: Directs technical precision and quality control, leveraging high-fidelity FEA and CFD simulation testing to ensure every complex design fully complies with international aerospace standards.
Allan Michael
Co-Founder & Engineering Director
- Core Focus: Design for Manufacture (DFM), CAD Development, & Lean Manufacturing
- The Expertise: Holds a BEng in Aerospace Engineering (specialising in Astronautics & Space Technology), focusing on practical, production-ready engineering solutions.
- The Impact: Bridges the gap between complex digital design and physical reality, streamlining CAD development workflows and applying lean manufacturing principles to solve intricate engineering bottlenecks.
Adam Nouioua
Co-Founder & Engineering Director

- The Expertise: Earned an MEng in Aerospace Engineering (specialising in Astronautics & Space Technology) from Kingston University, building a strong foundation in analytical systems design.
- The Impact: Drives analytical engineering strategy, utilizing detailed mission planning, complex system schematics, advanced CFD simulations, and rigorous mathematical modelling to deliver creative, high-efficiency solutions.
Jake Hutson
Co-Founder & Business Operations Director
